Talking to reporters following the meeting, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai said the talks concluded on a positive note and expressed the confidence of reaching to a consensus on Friday.

Nepali Congress Central Member Arjun Narsingh KC said at the meeting the Prime Minister proposed extending the term of the CA by six months and to table the Bill on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission at the Legislature-Parliament.

Vice-president of the Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Paudel claimed that the amendment proposal would be approved the next day and pledged to address the concerns of all the protesting sides.

CPN-UML politburo member Surendra Pandey said a Committee including a representative each of the three parties would be formed and the Committee shall assign the terms of reference, scope and jurisdiction of the Committee of experts.

Earlier, the parties had almost agreed to assign the Committee of Experts to prepare its report based on the report of the CA State Restructuring Committee, the different opinions in the report and the views expressed by CA members in the parliament, he said.
