Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal administered oath of office and secrecy to Deputy Prime Minister and two ministers today in the presence of President Ram Baran Yadav.
UML leader Bharat Mohan Adhikari took the oath of office and secrecy as Deputy Prime Minister. Bishnu Poudel and Ganga Lal Tuladhar were sworn in as ministers without portfolios.
Vice President Paramananda Jha, Chairman of Constituent Assembly Subash Chandra Nembang, chief of constitutional bodies, political leaders, Chief Secretary, Secretaries and chiefs of security bodies were present on the occasion.
The decision to appoint them was taken in the last meeting of Central Committee of CPN-UML.
Talking to reporters after his oath taking, Adhikari said that the government will work to conclude the peace process and constitution drafting. He also said that the government will bring budget on basis of consensus.
