Major political parties have agreed to move ahead for the constitution writing process by working out a 13-point timetable.
The Constituent Assembly Contentious Issues Resolution Sub-committee's meeting held on Friday has prepared the preliminary proposal for the timetable.
As per the timetable, the sub-committee will forge consensus on the contentious issues except the issues related to the state restructuring within 30 December and the Constitutional Committee will hold discussion on the report given by the Sub-committee and take decision to this effect within 4 January.
If the constitutional committee fails to forge consensus in any subjects they will be submitted to the Constituent Assembly and fit will finalise them within 4 to 9 January through the CA regulations and will bring the first draft within 10-29 January except for issues related to state restructuring.
The political parties forged the consensus for presenting report by the state restructuring commission to the government by 20 January and the report with suggestions of the commission by the CA State Restructuring Committee will be given final touch by 12 February.
The Constitutional Committee will bring the first integrated draft that will also include the issues related to state restructuring within 13 to 27 February and complete statute within 21 to 27 May.
The CA, Public Opinion, and Coordination Committee will take the draft for publicity and collecting opinions from the public from 6 to 28 March, proposed the sub-committee.
The coordination committee will prepare report of the public opinion and submit it to CA which will be discussed and sent to Constitutional Committee for revamping of the draft from 29 March to 12 April.
