An earthquake was felt in Kathmandu Valley and surrounding areas at 1.56am on Monday.
The epicentre of the earthquake was located in Xizang of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, about 100 kilometres north of Kathmandu. The earthquake measured 5 on the Richter scale.
The last tremors in the Valley, felt in February, also had its epicentre in Xizang and measured 5.4 on the Richter scale.
