Speaking at a meet with journalists at the UCPN(M)'s party's headquarters in Koteswor, spokesperson Agni Sapkota has warned that his party will respond from the street if the President takes unconstitutional steps.
Sapkota pointed out that instead of prioritising consensus, the Nepali Congress and UML are trying to provoke the President to take an unconstitutional step, and that this would later prove to be fatal for the country and its people.
Saying that making consensus was of least importance to the NC and UML, Sapkota added that his party would agree to an NC-led government if the Constituent Assembly was revived following consensus on the constitution.
He also said that his party was committed to declare a constitution that included federalism and a federal structure that prioritised identity from the CA itself.
