The Election Commission will now collect voter list along with photographs of those living temporarily outside their home districts through the District Election Offices.
An arrangement to collect voter list of those living temporarily from the District Election Office of the respective district has been made, said Acting Programme Manager of Central Regional Election Office Shambhu Prasad Chalise.
The voter list collected in this way will be included the lists of the respective districts and VDCs and national ID cards will be made from this, he said, urging all to contact the District Election Offices as soon as early.
The regional election office has extended the deadline to collect voter list of those living temporarily at wards from 1-11, 32 and 35 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City till July 31. It has also been collecting voter list at the government offices such as the District Administration Office and the Foreign Minister, where crowds of people gather seeking government services.
