Production of wheat has increased by 150 metric tons in Sindhupalchok district this year.
The production increased this year due to favorable weather condition and no disease on wheat farming. The district produced 6,650 metric ton this year. The farmers had used the improved seeds like WK 1204, Pasang Lhyamu and Gautam after local seeds failed to yield good production.
District agricultural office said production of the millet and maize also increased in the current fiscal year than the previous year.
