Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang has said that the government’s policy and programmes formulated for fiscal year 2011-12 will be presented before the Legislature-Parliament on July 3.
According to him, the budget for the fiscal year 2011-12 will be presented at the Legislature-Parliament on July 14.
"It has been possible to hold the pre-budget discussion due to support and cooperation from all the parties", he said, adding that time for pre-budget deliberations has been extended to continue until June 28.
Speaker Nembang further said that the subcommittee formed for settling the contentious issues in the constitution writing will meet on Monday morning, after completing discussions with all the parties.
He added that the parties have agreed on forming a Monitoring Committee under his Chairmanship to monitor the enforcement of the five-point agreement. The Committee shall comprise four representatives from the UCPN (Maoist), two from the Nepali Congress, two from the CPN (UML), two from the Madhesi Front and two from the fringe parties.
Deputy Speaker Purna Kumari Subedi will hold the post of deputy-coordinator of the Committee that will ensure 19 per cent women representation, he added
