Simrik Air adds a third AS350 B3e
Simrik Air has purchased another two new Airbus AS 350 B3e helicopters to fulfill a sustained rise in its demand over the last couple of years. While the first one, with call sign 9N AKD, landed at Tribhuvan International Airport on 19 October, the second one is scheduled to arrive by February 2019.
Powered by a single Turbomeca Arriel 2D turbine engine, the AS 350 B3e (H-125) offers increased reliability, decreased maintenance cost, and high versatility for a range of missions, making it an ideal aircraft for Simrik.
For 17 years, Simrik Air has been providing a range of helicopter services – search and rescue, mountaineering, sight-seeing, medevac, pilgrimage, cargo and sling operations – across Nepal to a wide array of customers. With expertise in a variety of missions and a thorough operational maturity developed from thousands of flight hours, Simrik is now poised to penetrate new markets with its organic growth strategy.
The addition of these two new aircraft consolidates Simrik’s bold ambitions of significantly increasing its reach within its existing markets, as well as innovating new travel packages to tap into unexplored commercial territories, the company stated in a press release.
