Caution: More Rain
Despite its weak start, the monsoon is catching up with average precipitation level for July with another large low pressure trough over Nepal. In the rest of the Subcontinent, total rainfall is still below normal which is also true for the central Tarai. Within Kathmandu Valley, Phulchoki and Shivapuri on the rim getting substantially more precipitation than the city centre. This is why there has been flooding in the Bagmati’s tributaries. The weekend and beyond will continue to have rainy nights, with hot and humid daytime weather in Kathmandu.
